What is StartUPulse? Inside Pakistan's founder community
StartUPulse is a verified founder community in Pakistan. Here's how our WhatsApp community and portal work, and what makes us different.

Building a startup in Pakistan is lonely.
Your friends don't get it. Your family still asks when you'll get a real job. And most founder groups are a few thousand strangers dropping webinar links.
StartUPulse was built to fix that. It's a verified founder community, born in Lahore, that connects you in three ways: a WhatsApp community, an online portal and in person events.
Since August 2023, we've run 28+ events across 4+ cities. Here's how it all works, and why it's different from the communities you've already tried.
What is StartUPulse?
StartUPulse is a founder community in Pakistan for people who are actually building. Founders, cofounders and the operators who help them grow.
It started in Lahore in August 2023. Today it runs online through WhatsApp and the StartUPulse portal, and offline through events like CXO Connect.
StartUPulse is operated by TF Business Solutions and led by Talha Fakhar, a GTM and sales operator who has worked with founders since 2017. That shapes everything we do.
The focus is practical. Hiring. Sales. GTM. Getting in front of the right people.
It's built for:
Founders at any stage, from pre revenue to scaling
People looking for a cofounder they can actually verify
Operators and growth professionals who work with startups
Other founder communities that want a bigger network behind them
How the StartUPulse WhatsApp community works
Founders in Pakistan already live on WhatsApp. So that's where the daily conversation happens.
But StartUPulse isn't one giant group. It runs on WhatsApp Communities, an umbrella that holds several groups under one name. Here's what that means for you:
The announcements group. Only admins post here. Event invites, portal updates and opportunities land in one clean feed you can actually read.
The conversation groups. This is where members ask, answer and make intros. You join the groups that fit you instead of drowning in all of them.
The Founders only group. A closed room inside the community, just for founders. Members include Haseeb Khan of Tkxel, Haseeb Awan of Efani, Anwar Kabir of Brand Spectrum, Nayab Raheel of Prosign, Saad Munir of Hexaclicks and many more.
Partner communities. Other founder groups can link into the StartUPulse community. They keep their own name and admins, and their members get the wider network.
The founders who get the most out of it do three things. They ask specific questions. They make intros before asking for them. And they show up to events, because trust in this ecosystem still gets built face to face.
How the StartUPulse portal works
WhatsApp is great for conversation. It's terrible at memory. Messages scroll away, and you can't search a chat for "technical cofounder in Lahore."
So in September 2026 we launched the StartUPulse portal. It's in beta, and it gives every founder and startup a permanent, verified home in the community.
Here's how it works:
Verify yourself. Connect your LinkedIn and you get the Verified Founder badge.
Verify your startup. Sign up with your company domain and you get the Verified Startup badge.
List your startup. Your listing gets visibility through StartUPulse content marketing, not just a line in a directory.
Find a cofounder. The cofounder matching engine connects you with founders looking for a partner.
Reach investors. Investor access is live in beta, so expect it to grow.
Verification is the whole point. When someone reaches out through StartUPulse, you know there's a real founder and a real company behind the message. That alone kills most of the noise.
What makes StartUPulse different from other communities in Pakistan
Pakistan has good startup communities. Incubators, accelerators, global chapter networks and hundreds of WhatsApp and Facebook groups. Each one solves part of the problem. StartUPulse was built for the parts they leave open.
Community type | What it does well | Where founders get stuck | How StartUPulse handles it |
|---|---|---|---|
Incubators and accelerators | Structured programs, mentors, sometimes funding | You have to get selected, and support often fades when the cohort ends | Year round, never tied to a cohort |
Global chapter networks | Big speakers and polished events | Great nights, but little happens between them | WhatsApp and the portal keep the network active between events |
Open WhatsApp and Facebook groups | Huge reach and fast replies | Spam, fake profiles and nothing you can search later | Verified badges plus a searchable portal |
Media and ecosystem platforms | Visibility and news | You get read, not connected | Listings with content marketing and direct founder connections |
Four things sit underneath that table.
1. Verified, not just joined
Anyone can join a WhatsApp group. On the StartUPulse portal, founders verify through LinkedIn and startups verify through their company domain. You know who you're talking to.
2. Built by an operator, focused on real problems
At CXO Connect 2026, we sat with 27+ founders, most of them scaling. Their two biggest problems were the same: hiring people who are actually worth the role, and building a repeatable sales process and GTM strategy. That's where StartUPulse puts its energy, because it's what the person running it does every day.
3. Online and offline, connected
Most communities are either a chat or an event. StartUPulse is both. 28+ events across 4+ cities, with WhatsApp and the portal carrying the conversation in between.
4. Collaborative, not competitive
We don't want to be the only community you join. Other founder groups can plug into the StartUPulse WhatsApp community and keep their own identity. A bigger, connected ecosystem helps every founder in it.
Who should join, and how
StartUPulse is for you if you are:
A founder who wants peers, not a pitch audience
Looking for a cofounder you can actually verify
Stuck on hiring, sales or GTM and want people who've solved it
Running your own founder community and want a bigger network behind it
